The Husqvarna z254F Zero Hydrostatic Turn Riding Mower is marketed as a stylish and powerful zero turn riding mower that is easy to use and which can take your lawn maintenance to the next level. Well, as for being stylish, we have to agree that this particular machine does look pretty good. Then again looks aren’t everything, so let’s take a look at the other stuff.
The engine on the Husqvarna Z254F zero turn riding mower is a 23 HP Kawasaki FR691V, which is known for its incredible durability, smooth running and also being quieter than other riding mower engines, as well as being reliable, efficient, and economical.
The hydrostatic transmission allows you to accelerate and decelerate, according to mowing conditions without having to bother with preset gears, leaving you to concentrate on the actual mowing, while still delivering huge amounts of power and torque, plus it’s maintenance free too which can be a great time and money saver.
The cutting deck on this Husqvarna zero turn mower is a generous 54″ wide welded deck. Being welded makes it stronger than a stamped deck and also gives a superior cut, while the width of the deck allows you to mow more with less passes. The deck features 3 high-performance cutting blades and has 6 different cutting height positions ranging from 1.5″ through to 4.0″ which you set manually, as required via a lever.
There are also anti-scalp wheels which allow the deck to be raised and lowered safely without chewing up your lawn, and without you having to stop mowing, plus the ClearCut deck feature gives greatly improved airflow to the top and bottom of the deck which improves grass lift for a consistently excellent cut.
The ergonomically designed control panel on the Husqvarna Z254F soon has mowing feeling like second nature, while the anti-slip foot area is a pretty good safety feature which allows you to mow confidently from the outset.
Mastering the maneuverability of the Z254F takes a little bit of getting used to at first, as with all zero turn mowers, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy to manage and drives and steers really well. There is also a front nose bumper and a rear engine guard for a little added protection, just in case.
The Husqvarna Z254F combines comfort, performance and style with ease of use and effortless parking up when you’ve finished mowing. It cuts clippings nice and fine and scatters them evenly so there are no piles or clumps to contend with after mowing, leaving you with a neat and evenly cut lawn.
Maintenance and cleaning are made really easy. The Z254F comes with a drain hose for when you need to change the oil and all parts of the engine are really easy to get to should you require, plus the deck and wheel spindles have grease fittings, and there’s also a built in hour meter that tells you when you need to service the mower to help keep it performing at its peak.
This Husqvarna riding mower also comes complete with pre-drilled holes for mounting a hitch for accessories and attachments, a removable foot pan so you can easily clean the spindles, pulleys and belts, and a deck wash out port.
