The driving force behind the Husqvarna YTH24V48 48″ Hydrostatic Riding Mower is a 24 hp Briggs and Stratton Intek V-Twin engine which features ReadyStart turn of the key ignition without you having to prime or choke the engine. This engine is designed to run cleaner and cooler during heavy duty mowing and haulage work, while giving you more power for less fuel consumption and with lower emissions.
To give you maximum driving control during mowing, speed and direction are controlled by a foot pedal operated hydrostatic transmission system which regulates your speed as you require for almost automobile-like acceleration, and is also longer lasting than automatic and manual transmissions, while at the same time being virtually maintenance free.
This lawn tractor mower also has a cruise control facility which works pretty well at allowing you to maintain a steady speed when mowing rough and uneven ground, which can actually reduce time spent mowing difficult areas for a more enjoyable and stress free mowing experience.
The Husqvarna YTH24V48 Briggs & Stratton Hydrostatic Riding Mower also features an electric cutting deck engagement system which allows easy engagement of the cutting blades by simply pulling the knob on the control panel. You also get a well padded high-back seat and a roomy cockpit which give you really good back support for surprisingly comfortable mowing, even at top speed and on uneven ground. For even more comfort, you can buy padded armrests separately.
We are quite impressed with this lawn tractor on the whole and if you’re looking for a decent average size mower to mow an average size lawn or larger, we think you will be too.
