As you have probably noticed in the overview of the features above, the Husqvarna YTA24V48 Riding Tractor Mower features a pedal operated automatic transmission which does away with the need for a clutch, and the need for shifting gears altogether.
Unlike hydrostatic transmissions which use hydraulic fluids for power transfer, automatic transmissions use belts to automatically adjust speed according to demand, providing smooth and seamless acceleration and power.
The automatic choke on this riding mower makes starting up really easy. All you need to do is turn the key and it fires up first time, that’s it…you’re away.
Another feature of this lawn tractor mower that we think really makes a difference is the Air-Induction Mowing Technology. This sucks air from the top, and the bottom of the cutting deck. The result of this is that grass-lift is significantly improved which in turn delivers a far superior cut than you will get with a mower that doesn’t have it.
The deck cutting height adjustment lever is mounted on the fender making it really easy to adjust the blade height without getting out of your seat, plus it’s also spring assisted allowing you to change between the 6 different cutting heights effortlessly.
The 48″ cutting deck also has 4 anti-scalp wheels to help prevent any unsightly bald patches occurring on any high spots your lawn may have, and the 3 cutting blades have greaseable mandrels, and is also covered by a 10 year warranty.
On the whole the Husqvarna YTA24V48 is a pretty comfortable riding mower to use. It has a really comfortable 15″ high-back seat, complete with armrests, and the cruise control is a pretty cool feature too. It also runs well and is pretty good on gas making mowing that little bit more economical.

If you have a larger sized lawn or yard that is hilly in places and you’re in the market for a reliable entry level lawn tractor mower with a decent size cutting deck we recommend checking out the Husqvarna YTA24V48 riding tractor mower.
This mower is consistently easy to start up, it runs very well and it’s also pretty comfortable to ride…And it gives a really neat and professional looking cut too and makes short work of cutting large areas.
The only thing we found, and which you may wish to keep in mind is that although it mows smaller hills very well, it’s not brilliant on really steep hills. This could be just one of those occasions where practice makes perfect but we believe it to be worth mentioning.
It is also covered by a 3 year limited warranty, a 5 year front axle, frame and chassis warranty, and a 10 year cutting deck warranty.
The bottom line…we think this mower is well worth checking out…just make sure you buy it for the work it has been designed for and be careful on hilly ground.
