This Cub Cadet front engine riding mower features a 46″ cutting deck which has 12 different cutting heights ranging from 1″ to 4″ and has a stamped 12 gauge steel construction. The deck lift is spring assisted and operated via a fender mounted hand lever.
The cutting deck also has 4 anti-scalp wheels to prevent any high points of your lawn being scalped during mowing, and for easy and thorough removal of grass, dirt and debris after mowing the deck also has an integrated SmartJet high-pressure deck wash system.
The Cub Cadet XT1 LT46 engine is the 22 HP professional-grade Kohler 7000 Series V-Twin OHV engine which is a professional-grade engine which provides easy start ups and solid, dependable power to keep you mowing through even tall and wet grass easily.
Kohler build this engine to give you double the lifespan of other engines while running cleaner, cooler and faster, and also to start up easily even in sub-zero temperatures.
You also get Tuff Torq K46 Hydrostatic Transimission for incredibly smooth operation, no need for any manual gear shifting, all you do is push down on the foot pedal and you’re away. Plus you also get Soft Touch cruise control too which helps maintain a steady speed regardless of changes in terrain and mowing conditions for seamless and less tiring mowing.
The optimized steering system on the Cub Cadet XT1 LT46 lawn tractor mower makes it an incredibly responsive ride on mower with a tight automotive style 16″ turning radius which gives really smooth cutting, and maneuverability especially when mowing around obstacles.

If you are looking for a decent quality, entry-level, lawn tractor style riding mower for use on a larger sized landscape with a few hills and obstacles you need to mow around, the Cub Cadet XT1 LT46 riding mower is most definitely worth checking out.
The 46″ wide cutting deck really saves you time when mowing larger lawns and the 12 different cutting heights allow you to get the best finish.
The Kohler engine is built for reliability and power, and the hydrostatic transmission combined with the cruise control feature give you an incredibly smooth and consistent cut whatever the terrain and mowing conditions.
This mower is also really easy to steer and maneuver plus it’s also very comfortable to operate.
You also get a large fuel tank for extended periods of mowing without constant refueling, plus it’s also easy to add gas without having to lift the bonnet.
And once you’re done mowing, cleaning the underside and cutting deck is really easy with the integrated deck wash system.
The only real downside we can find with this mower is that it doesn’t mow all that quickly in reverse, in fact it’s pretty slow.
The bottom line…we think this is a very good mower for the money, it’s one of our top 10 lawn tractors for 2019, and well worth checking out for yourself.
