The Ariens Zoom 34 – 19hp Kohler 6000 Series V-Twin 34″ Zero Turn Lawn Mower features a 34″ wide twin blade Xlerator Mower Deck which allows you to mow larger areas in less time. The deck is 4″ deep and is stamped from a single piece of steel to give you the most efficient airflow and deliver a cut of exceptional quality.
This Ariens mower is driven by a powerful, professional grade 19 HP/660 cc Kohler 6600 Series V-Twin engine which features best-in-class speed along with SmartChoke technology for easy and reliable starts, plus an overhead valve design allowing it to run cooler and cleaner, at forward speeds of up to 6 mph, and reverse speeds of up to 3 mph.

The Ariens Zoom 34 also has a fully integrated hydrostatic transmission which allows you to mow at all speeds and in all directions with no gear shifting necessary for seamless mowing whatever the terrain and even in the tightest and hardest to reach parts of your lawn or yard.
This mower also has a 4-point deck hanging system which allows you to mow neatly and evenly over uneven terrain, and a mechanical footlift which allows you to adjust between the 7 different cutting heights in half inch increments from 1.5 inches to 4.5 inches, or lift the entire deck at once to avoid any obstacles on the ground.
To keep vibration to a minimum and make mowing more comfortable, the Ariens Zoom 34 also has a 1.5″ x 1.5″ fully welded steel frame.
And for added comfort this mower also features a mid-back padded seat with seat springs which gives pretty good lumbar support even during extended periods of mowing on uneven terrain.
And for peace of mind, the Ariens Zoom 34 – 19hp Kohler 6000 Series V-Twin 34″ Zero Turn Lawn Mower also comes with a 3-year warranty.
The only downside with this zero turn mower is that the cutting deck doesn’t have any anti-scalp wheels which we found unusual, and the wheels have been known to slip a little on wet and hilly ground.

Verdict-Should You Buy The Ariens Zoom 34 – 19hp Kohler 6000 Series V-Twin 34″ Zero Turn Lawn Mower?
This is a pretty good choice of entry-level mower for a small yard right up to a bigger than average sized lawn or yard which is slightly hilly in places and also has tight, hard to mow areas and obstacles which need to be mowed around.
It provides seamless mowing at all speeds, and in forward and reverse, and can effectively reduce mowing time and improve efficiency. The Zoom 34 is also a pretty decent zero turn mower for hills too. The engine is easy to start, smooth running, powerful and pretty economical too.
Although you get a really good, neat cut with this mower, you should bear in mind that it doesn’t have any anti-scalp wheels and so any bumps in your lawn that the hanging deck doesn’t clear may end up with the tops sliced off, although we haven’t heard of that actually happening yet.
